TRUE HAPPINESS

     I would pick pebbles on the way; lazy throw them away
    As I walk immersed in thought of you by my side anyway.......
    Life is as if with you; even when distance remains.....
    I surrender to myself;my emotions and its strains.....
   But; passive accept myself and you as you are....
   Caring is not a switch to on and off with power......
    It remains somewhere deep within
    Even as we go about our routine;
    It flowers into passion the odd times possibly
    For fires may die down only to shimmer amicably
     Home truths of all love stories perhaps;
     Beyond mishaps of time and changing tide's lapse
    To understand or to emotions joyfully shown and said...
    The silver or the golden bond , needs no visible thread!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Moot Malini

MYSTERIOUS PLACEBO EFFECT IN HUMAN BRAIN

Continued.........from the last write........

Still talking of the MYSTERIOUS PLACEBO EFFECT on man's brain..........

I have personally experimented with people in my vicinity and life and over the period of time found again and again the brain co -operates and produces the required chemical in the brain.If it is convinced of the good effect of the given treatment or drug prescribed!

In fact I have for the past few years experimented with myself to.......

IN 2000 neurolgy professor Dr Jon Stoessl,director of CANADA'S "PARKINSON'S RESEARCH CENTRE",

PARKINSON'S DISEASE
ONE OF THE MANY MYSTERIES OF THIS DISEASE IS THE DEGENERATIVE NEUROLOGICAL DISORDER
In which one part of the brain, stops producing enough DOPAMINE to allow for normal function of motor nerves......to have good motor control.

Coming to the point of my ward;
He had been injured at a very early age,
By falling of the ladder to a considerable height

Showing no external injury at the time of this event
His parents; father who did business in the then Ceylon .

The child then started, developing transitory clot formation ....
oft fell flat on his nose; even if her ran with his friends.

This went unnoticed and on his 16th year of growth SIVAGNANAM  ; as this child was called
fell in his class room during school final year exams.

This was then brought to parental attention and treatments were pursued and the child getting fits
in extreme times;
Was hospitalised in (Madras )CHENNAI for a period of SIX Months and intensive treatments underwent.
Epilepsy is a disorder with many possible causes.
 Anything that disturbs the normal pattern of neuron
 activity -- from illness to brain damage to
abnormal brain development -- can lead to seizures.
Epilepsy may develop because of an abnormality in brain wiring,
 an imbalance of nerve signaling
 chemicals called neurotransmitters,
 or some combination of these factors. Researchers believe
 that some people with epilepsy have an abnormally high level
of excitatory neurotransmitters
 that increase neuronal activity, while others have
 an abnormally low level of inhibitory
 neurotransmitters that decrease neuronal activity in the brain.
 Either situation can result in too much neuronal activity
and cause epilepsy.
Genetic Factors
Research suggests that genetic abnormalities may be some
 of the most important factors contributing
 to epilepsy. Some types of epilepsy have been traced
 to an abnormality in a specific gene.
 Many other types of epilepsy tend to run in families,
 which suggests that genes influence epilepsy.
 Some researchers estimate that more than
 500 genes could play a role in this disorder.
 However, it is increasingly clear that,
 for many forms of epilepsy,
 genetic abnormalities play only a partial role,
 perhaps by increasing a person's susceptibility to seizures
 that are triggered by an environmental factor.

HUMAN BRAIN
THE HUMAN BRAIN

You have been entrusted with the care and feeding of the most extraordinary and complex creation in the universe. Home to your mind and personality, your brain houses your cherished memories and future hopes. It orchestrates the symphony of consciousness that gives you purpose and passion, motion and emotion.

But what do you really know about it?
 – the food it likes, the challenges it craves, the rest it requires, the protection it deserves.........

IN the rustic backdrop of a lovely village; with very good natured and down to earth people
I discovered in observation.............

That every home ; in its amidst was caring for people in various disorders of the Pituitary  Gland.
and also showing Down's syndrome,Thyroid etc......

I am at this point forced to admit  ;despite my deep interest I am not a Doctor by any means,Just a home maker with infinite patience.LIKE MOST MOTHERS ;

My curiosity of the subject boils down to the upbringing, care , and needs of a less privileged individual; Life dropped my way to care and tend.

TODAY I AM 46 YEARS OLD ,
WITH NEARLY 18 years of interaction with a very peculiar and interesting experimentation with......The mysterious and strange "PLACEBO EFFECT" on the brain.

The individual in my care was a patient of epilepsy,not a mentally retarded individual.
SHARING MY EXPERIENCE
Brain injuries occur more frequently than breast cancer or AIDS. One out of every fifty Americans is currently living with disabilities from TBI. There's even an association between head injury and Alzheimer's disease later in life.

 traumatic brain injury (TBI). This is higher than the combined incidence of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis.

When life hands you a Lemon

When life hands you a Lemon
Add water, sugar
Squeeze it till you can
After cutting into halve piece of sour
The seeds will fall
Let them
In suitable soil grow tall
Let your smile in eyes gleam
As you cuddle your cozy comforts.......
Sit back a while after toil and efforts!

SPANIEL

He stood brown on all fours
Hair on his back rough and uncouth
But then this way side spaniel adores
Like no one sane would this youth!

He walked down the village street
Wagging his tail; the spaniel followed
Ready too, to his friends greet!
Tongue lolling, his grin easy allowed!

Easy does it boy!
Life isn’t any hardship
Company and live toy!
His to play ball with in friendship!

EARLY TO THE GRIND

Early to the grind
In childlike faith in bind

Years flew away
Holding her in sway

A far cry from life today
In a simple  rustic way

Life held more than the basic
Was smooth run perhaps logic;

Yet the mind had to do a U turn
Leave go early upbringing without much discern

Perhaps picture perfect in someways
Happy go lucky days

docile and amicable; Nineteen is young
Away from this world; a lark was happy sung...............

THE VILLAGE WOMAN

Head held  woods cut
Her gait had a swagger
Hair plastered ; funny that;
Eyes squint as sunlight grows brighter

Saree  had seen better days wealth
Was  now thread bare and torn
Her hands showed her strength
Her determined chin ;my heart won!
